NOTE!! The law has been changed, so the Section 17 course must now be taken as an AMU course. However, our course is still excellent for refresher training and as a supplement.
The official name of the course is "Work Environment and Safety in Welding and Thermal Cutting." It was previously known as the Section 26 course.
All employees (skilled and unskilled) who have tasks related to welding, thermal cutting, or grinding must be trained in the content covered in this course. This means they must learn about work environment impacts, health risks, and the measures that can be taken in relation to these work areas.
After completing the course, the employee will have the necessary knowledge and competencies in work environment, safety measures, regulations, and requirements.
The course is developed in accordance with the Danish Working Environment Authority's Executive Order No. 1795 of December 18, 2015. The primary purpose of this regulation is to prevent cancer risks associated with working with substances and materials in welding, thermal cutting, and grinding.
Why you should take a Section 17 course
The course is, as mentioned, mandatory by law (Note! It must be taken at an AMU center the first time) for anyone working in the mentioned fields. Additionally, it is also important for health and safety reasons to be well-prepared for the job. Finally, both employers and employees have a responsibility to ensure that the work is carried out in the safest possible way.
